Williams said while a lot of his success comes from attention to detail, he believes a professional website is key for job seekers to land a job. Many people put their resume, additional info about themselves, contact information, and possibly links to other professional listings such as Linkedin or other job related social media.

“One thing employers constantly confide in me is that my client’s websites set them apart from other recruits. Bosses like the added touch of the websites. Website resumes are hip, fresh, dynamic, and a refreshing change of pace from looking at boring pieces of paper. They really make a difference.”

The funny thing, Williams remarks, is that making a good looking website only takes about 40 minutes and is now super cheap to make. With more and more people going web-based, it’s hard to overlook what the new cutting, edge resume should be.

“I’ve had great potential clients come in that haven’t got an interview in 5 months, build a website, get an interview and then hired in 2 days. The only difference was they made a website and referred to it in their cover letter and resume.
